1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Free AI Chat (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Your use of the Service constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Free AI Chat is a web-based application that provides free access to AI-powered conversational interfaces. The Service collects behavioral biometric data (keystroke dynamics and typing patterns) during your use for research purposes related to proof-of-authorship and behavioral biometrics technology.

3. User Consent to Biometric Data Collection

By using this Service, you explicitly consent to:

  • The collection of your behavioral biometric data (typing patterns, keystroke dynamics)
  • The transmission of this data to the Sygnus research platform
  • The use of this data for research, algorithm training, and scientific purposes
  • The retention of this data as described in our Privacy Policy

You acknowledge that you have read and understood the Privacy Policy and agree to the collection and use of your biometric information as described therein.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

  • Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law
  • Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the Service without permission
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
  • Use the Service to transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
  • Use the Service to collect or harvest any information about other users
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Submit content containing viruses, malware, or any malicious code
  • Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our express written consent

5. Message Limits and Service Availability

The Service imposes a limit of 30 messages per browser session. Once this limit is reached, you must refresh the page to start a new conversation. We reserve the right to modify service limits, temporarily suspend, or permanently discontinue the Service at any time without notice.

6. No Account or Authentication Required

The Service does not require user registration or authentication. All usage is anonymous. Because we do not maintain user accounts, we cannot provide personalized service recovery, data retrieval, or user-specific support.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the Service operators and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

8. User-Generated Content

Any messages or content you submit through the Service ("User Content") remain your property. However, by submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and analyze your User Content in conjunction with the behavioral biometric data for research purposes as described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service utilizes third-party AI providers to generate conversational responses and the Sygnus research platform to process biometric data. Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these third-party services. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or services of these third parties.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from use of the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected
  • The AI-generated responses will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose

You acknowledge that AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material. You use the Service at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE SERVICE OPERATORS, THEIR AFFILIATES, LICENSORS, OR SERVICE PROVIDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service, including AI-generated responses
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO USE THE SERVICE (WHICH IS ZERO, AS THE SERVICE IS FREE).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Service operators, their affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

  • Your use or misuse of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations

13. Research Use and Data

You acknowledge and agree that the data collected through your use of the Service, including biometric data and message content, may be used for:

  • Academic and scientific research publications
  • Development of commercial behavioral biometric technologies
  • Training and validation of machine learning algorithms
  • Presentations at conferences and academic venues

All such use will be conducted with anonymized data that does not identify you personally.

14. Privacy and Data Protection

15. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may cease using the Service at any time. However, previously collected anonymous data cannot be deleted as we have no means to identify which data belongs to you.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
